After the success of her home and bedding line for JCPenney, Cindy Crawford is branching out for the national retailer — this time into jewelry. This April, the iconic all-American supermodel will launch an affordable 40-piece jewelry collection, ranging from $79 to $299, called One Kiss exclusively for JCPenney. The collection, described as simple yet sophisticated, will feature pieces made of sterling silver, gemstones and diamonds inspired by the henna symbol that translates to ‘kiss.’ “[The symbol] was cool, but I love what it means,” she tells WWD of her choice for the name. “It’s not necessarily a romantic kiss, it could be a mother’s kiss. You can also buy it for yourself.” One Kiss jewelry will hit JCPenny stores nationwide jcp.com this April. – David Yi

On the heels of last weekend’s Hope for Haiti telethon, stars continue to rally for the relief effort, this time opening up their closets for the cause. Britney Spears will be auctioning off one of the two shimmery silver Versace dresses she wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008—which might even be a good luck charm, given that was the same night she made her comeback performance after her public meltdown and took home three wins in the process. Details as to the specific dress and charity have yet to be released. And she’s not the only star who’s opening her closet to benefit the earthquake-stricken country.

Kate Bosworth is putting the diaphanous, size-2 pleated halter dress by Chloe she wore to the Food Bank of New York City’s annual Can-Do awards gala last year up for grabs, with proceeds benefitting OxFam International’s Haiti Relief Program through the Charitybuzz Heal Haiti Charity Auction (to place a bid, visit charitybuzz.com).

–Susan Sarandon is getting in on the action by donating the sultry size-6 Dolce & Gabanna LBD she wore to the 15th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards on January 15 at charityfolks.com. Proceeds from the sale, organized by Modelinia.com and ping pong parlor SPiN New York (of which Sarandon is a co-owner), will benefit Friends of the Orphans in Haiti.

–Artists for Peace and Justice are helping Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Amy Poehler, and Olivia Wilde donate their outfits worn at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards through an eBay auction. Find out more details at artistsforpeaceandjustice.com.

–And while Lady Gaga is holding onto her outrageous costumes, the performance artist/pop singer is selling Lady Gaga Haiti Relief T-shirts on her website, ladygaga.shop.bravadousa.com. To spread the news, she Tweeted, “Buy Gaga merch today. 100% of profit goes to earthquake relief. Little Monsters save the world today!” –reporting by K.C. Baker and Ken Lee

Audrey Hepburn’s enduring status as a fashion legend was solidified on Tuesday, when more than 40 items from her closet raised a staggering $435,180 at a London auction. One highlight of the sale at Kerry Taylor Auctions was the Givenchy Chantilly lace cocktail dress that she wore in the 1966 film How to Steal a Million, which rang in at $97,270. Another more sentimental garment was her ivory satin bridal gown, commissioned by the actress while she was filming Roman Holiday and planning her nuptials to British industrialist James Hanson. When she later pulled out of the wedding, she asked the designers to give the dress away to the “most beautiful, poor Italian girl you can find.” And so the couture gown made by the Fontana sisters was given to Amabile Altobella, who wore the piece to marry a local farm worker before donating it to the auction. “The collection made double the pre-sale estimate,” said auctioneer Kerry Taylor, who organized the event. “It has been a privilege to handle this collection, the like of which will never be seen again.” With a percentage of the proceeds from the sale going to The Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund, it seems a fitting tribute to the much loved and perennially chic actress-turned-philanthropist.
