It looks like Lindsay Lohan might have a little more time to focus exclusively on her 6126 line of leggings and apparel in the days ahead. After months of tumult over her appointment as the artistic advisor for Emanuel Ungaro — and one not well-received runway show — the unlikely team appears to have parted ways. The actress was not present at the Ungaro fashion show today during Paris Fashion Week, and the brand’s owner Asim Abdullah told WWD backstage, “She’s not involved in this collection,” while declining to comment further. The actress quickly went from describing her catwalk debut as “pretty much a fairytale” to being bashed in the design world, even incurring the ire of the brand’s respected namesake founder, who deemed her first and maybe only collection for his former house “a disaster.” Tell us: What do you think of Lindsay’s possible departure from Ungaro?–Katherine Kluznik Rentmeester

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen already have a successful working relationship, but for their new juniors clothing line, Olsenboye, they’re giving credit to their friends too. “We’ve been working with our friends who are our age and in art school,” Mary-Kate told PEOPLE last night at a JCPenney style event in New York, which featured spring apparel from Olsenboye in a fashion show. Upon learning that director Tim Burton was remaking Alice in Wonderland, Avril Lavigne was so inspired she created a special collection of her Abbey Dawn juniors line based off the new movie. To start, the singer headed to the Disney archives to get in the mood: “I went through binders of images from the film to get inspiration for the clothing,” says Lavigne. “We ended up using a lot of the floral prints, which were the flowers with the faces, and the verbiage [like] ‘Shrink me.’ It was kind of like anything and everything.” The star added screen-printed watches, Victorian ruffles, and florals on an array of shorts, tees, and hoodies. “My favorite is the white T-shirt with the rabbit stopwatch on it because it’s the iconic stopwatch,” she says. And this isn’t Lavigne’s only contribution to the flick: the singer also wrote the movie’s title song. “I was really inspired by the film and [so] I asked [Disney] ‘do you have a main song for the movie because I’d like to write it’. And they were like, ‘oh, we’ll talk to Tim,’ and he said ‘go ahead write it,’” recalls Avril. The song, which she will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this month, will be a moody piano tune. Meanwhile, the limited-edition Abbey Dawn clothing collection will hit Kohl’s stores March 5, ranging in price from $24-$48. It’s shaping up to be a big week for New York Housewives star Ramona Singer. Not only is she returning to television for the third season of the popular Bravo show, but she’s also making a solo appearance Tuesday, March 2 on HSN to launch her second collection of estate jewels. “This has been a dream come true,” the reality star-turned-designer tells PEOPLE. “To create these things and to see how well they come out and [then] get the reaction from people is just so thrilling.” And after launching her debut line back in September, Ramona has become a hit on the TV shopping network. “People are in awe. They can’t believe the quality and look for the price,” says Singer. For her HSN follow-up, ranging in price from $200 to $550, she was inspired by the oversize earrings and blue rings worn by the late Princess Diana. “To me, that was so regal and beautiful,” she says. Other additions include a range of jade baubles and rose gold cuffs, but if she had to narrow it down to one must-have item, Singer recommends the $249 black-and-white swirl earrings: “They go with everything because black and white are so in — and I mean, they look like six figures!” Shop Singer’s complete collection exclusively at HSN.com and be sure to catch her live on HSN tomorrow, March 2, from 1 PM-3 PM EST. At only 24 years old, Lily Allen has announced that she’s seeking early retirement from the music business in favor of a career in fashion. According to the Daily Mail, Allen’s last performance will be in London March 7, after which she’ll be honing her creative talents on the launch of a clothing label and boutique called Lucy In Disguise. “I’m opening up a shop with my sister and a couple of other people and I’m really busy,” she said. “I’m in the office every day, sourcing clothes and getting really excited about my new venture.” The star is on the hunt for a storefront in central London, and in a twist on the traditional shopping model, plans to allow customers to rent clothes for a fraction of their retail value. Allen tells NME.com, “It’s amazing stuff that would be really expensive but we’re renting it [out] for a fraction of the price, so girls can come and get dressed up for a night out and have a laugh.” This isn’t the first time Allen has tried her hand at designing: in 2007, she produced a collection of dresses, shoes, and accessories for New Look called Lily Loves, and just last month she announced plans for an eponymous jewelry line. Lucy In Disguise is expected to debut at the Vintage At Goodway festival in Sussex in August. And fans of her tunes, fear not: she hasn’t closed the door on music completely, and already hints that she might be performing again–but “maybe in five years.” For more on Allen’s new venture, visit dailymail.co.uk. If you thought her cleavage-bearing array of tops would be her only contribution to the fashion world, think again. The Jersey Shore’s Jenni “JWoww” Farley is getting ready to launch a full range of clothing come July. “I’m collaborating with three designers right now and they are all close friends of mine. It’s all about sexy, edgy, rock. I’m doing, like, a gothic rocker,” Jenni told Stylelist.com at the launch of fellow reality-star-turned designer Kim Kardashian’s Kardashians By bebe fashion show. “It’s about the ripped look, the shredded look,” Jenni continued. Known for her barely-there clubwear and love for L.A.-based label Ed Hardy, it’s no wonder she sites the label (along with Affliction and Diesel–and rather incongruously–Marc Jacobs) as her inspiration for the collection. We can’t help but be curious to see what Jenni will create. Tell us: Are you excited to check out JWoww’s new clothing line?

Pete Wentz may have his own successful clothing line, Clandestine Industries, but he lets his fashionable wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz take the lead in their couple style. “If I go out with her, I consider myself a walking purse,” he tells ELLE.com. “So I just try to match her outfit. But she’ll tell me when I look too stupid.” And in the same way his wife accepted his own former use of heavy guyliner, the rocker says that he, too, would support his son Bronx if he were to ever follow suit. “Whatever he does, I’ll support him,” he says. “I’m sure he’ll be into math or football or something I don’t know anything about and I’ll have to learn a lot about it.” And what new trend is the rocker now following? “The Jersey Shore kids,” he admits. “The show’s so organic, like, the first time humans have made contact with this species, and it’s amazing.” So could this mean that the rocker may be trading in his signature emo look for some DJ Pauly D hair spray? Very possibly. “When he [Pauly D] went underwater, and his hair stayed the same exact way, that was mind-blowing!” he exclaims. “And I love GTL [Gym, Tan, Laundry] — I almost want to start the practice.” Now, that’s something we’d have to see to believe. Continuing her aesthetic overhaul, Heidi Montag, who famously underwent ten plastic surgery procedures in one day to become what she calls “the new me,” has also tapped into her inner-fashion designer. The reality star packed four dresses of her own creation for her trip to Las Vegas last weekend, where she co-hosted Pure nightclub’s Valentine’s Day bash with husband Spencer Pratt. On the red carpet, the 23 year-old opted for a body-hugging, fuchsia dress. “Pink is a color full of love and it’s so vibrant and beautiful–and it was, of course, very festive,” she tells PEOPLE. “It was exactly what I wanted to wear for my new body. I’ve never felt sexier or more confident in my life. It was revealing but still kept something to the imagination. It hugged all my curves perfectly.” As for where she finds inspiration, Montag says, “Most of my inspiration comes from old movies and I have tons of books on old Hollywood. I just love the magnificence of that time–the sequins, the sexiness. I want to capture the true luster of Hollywood in all my designs.” Montag also professes her admiration for designers like Coco Chanel (“so classic and timeless”) and Dolce & Gabbana (“They have such a sexy shape and have women looking their best in every silhouette,” she says). Expect more Montag-made clothing to surface: “This is just the beginning. I’d really love to eventually wear mostly my only designs. And I really would love to do a low end line [for my] fans and it can be really accessible and then a one of a kind couture line to really showcase my creativity.” But just around the corner? “Look out for my bikini line this summer!” – Jen Garcia

The blonde bombshell, along with the Camuto Group, the company that holds all the licenses to the Jessica Simpson Collection brand, have tapped jeweler-to-the-stars Pascal Mouawad –the same designer who collaborated with Nicole Richie on her House of Harlow 1960 collection — to develop the new series of timepieces. Set to hit stores this fall, Jessica and Pascal’s watch collection will include 35 designs that reflect the star’s personal style, varying from classic, handsome leather styles to elaborate jewelry-inspired looks. The watches will retail from $60-$250 and will be available in department stores and at jessicasimpsoncollection.com. Johnny Weir may have dazzled on Tuesday when he competed in a glittery black and pink corseted number at the Vancouver Olympics, but his aspirations extend past winning an Olympic medal; the former world champion is taking a serious dive into fashion. The 25-year old confirmed these new sartorial ambitions in an interview on HBO’s Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel, where he said he would go into fashion in a “big way,” opening his own multi-category collection — as well as retail stores. Surprising news? Not so much, as the athlete and star of the Sundance Channel reality series Be Good Johnny Weir has been co-designing his own outfits with costume designer, Stephanie Handler. “At this point, he knows enough about the amount of work that goes into designing to do his own,” Handler tells WWD. “He brings in sketches to me and I work with him to clarify things. He’s really into choosing everything all the way down to the last details. I’m sure he will wait until the Olympics are over and then he will get down to business.” But what will the new line look like? If his track record of wearing anything and everything that sparkles is any indication of what’s to come, we’re expecting some big-time extravagant flamboyance! Tell us: Are you excited to check out Johnny Weir’s clothing line? David Yi
