Last night’s episode of Gossip Girl might have been all about Serena van der Woodsen’s (played by Blake Lively) affair gone wrong, but we couldn’t take our eyes off of Blair Waldorf’s (played by Leighton Meester) sophisticated winter white look. While playing the supportive girlfriend to Chuck Bass (played by Ed Westwick), Blair accompanied him around the city looking the picture of Upper East City chic wearing an ivory Escada coat over a houndstooth Alexander McQueen blouse, Lanvin cap toe pumps and toting her coveted Valentino bag. We love Blair’s look, but unfortunately, we don’t have her budget! So forget the labels, we found Blair’s head-to-toe look with nothing over $100! Shop Blair’s style from last night here.

Now that Serena van der Woodsen (played by Blake Lively) is free from the restraints of her high school uniform, her daytime look for dabbling in the world of politics consists of sharply tailored, big-name designer items paired with more affordable pieces. To celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends, Serena opted for a sexier, high-fashion vibe. For a dinner filled with more drama than turkey, Serena chose a plunging, curve-hugging Stella McCartney jumpsuit complete with a lace front panel. While we wouldn’t suggest wearing this to a holiday dinner with your parents present, Serena’s fearless jumpsuit is perfect for a night out! Shop Serena’s Thanksgiving look for less here! She may play Gossip Girl’s Upper East Side vixen Serena van der Woodson on TV, but when it comes to her off-screen style, “I dress just like Serena!” Blake Lively admits in the November issue of Nylon magazine. “I own half her wardrobe, so it’s far too similar to the way I dress,” she continues. “I feel ridiculous at times with her — because I’m, you know, killing someone or marrying someone, but I look like me. I’m like, ‘Oh, this is absurd.’” Having her character’s signature style mesh so seamlessly with her own, however, isn’t something that happens with most roles. “When I’m doing a movie, I hide behind the character’s hair or makeup or clothes. If I can transform myself, then people will really believe that’s who that is — and I need to believe that’s who that is.” One fringe-benefit of trying out a persona? Getting in new products that she might not try on herself, including her latest beauty obsession which she picked up on the set of her next movie, The Town: press-on nails. “They’re really amazing,” she says. It was Halloween on the Upper East Side and what better way to celebrate a night of tricks and treats than at the opening of Chuck Bass’s (Ed Westwick) hot new club? For the star-studded bash, guests like Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) stuck to the Speakeasy theme and channeled the roaring ’20s. But of course, each girl put her own sexy spin on her flapper-inspired look. Serena flashed her long legs in a silver sparkling Collette Dinnigan minidress paired with a diamond Jennifer Behr hair clip and Christian Louboutin Pumps. Blair, on the other hand, took a more authentic approach in a white, beaded fringe Alberta Ferretti frock topped with a black Suzanna Dai collar. We love a flapper costume for Halloween so if you still haven’t gotten yours, check out how to get Serena and Blair’s roaring ‘20-chic for less. Shop their looks here.

Lily Bass, played by Kelly Rutherford, might have ditched the black tie wedding for a garden ceremony at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, but that doesn’t mean her Upper East Side guests were any less fashionable. Her daughter, Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, celebrated her mother’s nuptials in an olive green J. Mendel strapless dress with beaded detail paired with muted red heels. Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester, also brought high-fashion out of Manhattan donning a color block embroidered Valentino Red dress. And though Serena and Blair’s garden wedding looks are as different as night and day, we love them both! Get their looks for less here.

Saks Fifth Avenue
When shoe-designer-to-the-stars Giuseppe Zanotti turned up at Manhattan’s Saks Fifth Avenue on Friday afternoon, he wasn’t the only famous face to surprise shoppers. Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively took a break from shooting her hit series to meet the man and chat fall shoes. Blake, who sports Zanotti both on-set and on the red carpet, instantly impressed the designer. “Blake Lively is a true Giuseppe Zanotti woman,” the designer tells PEOPLE. “The Giuseppe Zanotti woman loves fashion and enjoys being up-to-date. She is self-confident and has a strong personality.” He continues, “She told me that she creates her own style; I think that makes her authentic and special.” One key to Blake’s much-coveted style? Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, of course! The actress spent most of the afternoon trying on pair after pair — and even left with a pair of boots signed by the designer himself. But even if you weren’t lucky enough to get a personal shopping experience with Giuseppe Zanotti, the designer did share his top fall shoe tips that he says will refresh any look: thigh-high boots and open-toe booties. Dan Humphrey, played by Penn Badgley, isn’t the only thing Gossip Girl’s two most famous blondes have in common. Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively, and new girl Olivia Burke, played by Hilary Duff, ditch their glam lives for quiet time out of the spotlight. But the designer labels stay with them. Olivia sported a purple Intermix ruffled dress and Christian Louboutin sling backs. Serena, on the other hand, put a conservative spin on her luxe labels by pairing a curve-hugging Herve Leger bandage skirt and sparkling Valentino purse with a Topshop boyfriend blazer to interview with Tory Burch. Tyra Banks and Hilary Duff won’t be the only famous guest stars on tonight’s episode of Gossip Girl – designer Tory Burch will be making her acting debut as well. And while she was hush-hush about the plot, she was ready to dish about what it was like to work with Blake Lively and the rest of the cast. “I have never acted before, so I was a little nervous about messing up my line. Blake made me laugh and put me at ease though, and the crew was so gracious,” Tory tells PEOPLE exclusively. Though Tory’s scenes weren’t filmed in her actual office, the designer tells us that the set was a dead ringer. “They did an incredible job recreating my office, down to the books I have on my Lucite shelves and framed photos of my boys!” This time around Tory didn’t get a chance to dress Gossip’s leading ladies, but the designer definitely has some ideas on what she would like to see Blake’s Serena van der Woodsen and Leighton Meester’s Blair Waldorf wear from her real-life fall collection (click through to see them). “Serena’s style is sophisticated yet rebellious,” says Tory. “I think she’d live in these leather leggings, and pair them with an embellished top and oversized vest. It’s a cool, sexy look that Serena could wear uptown, downtown, and everywhere in between.” As for Blair: “[She] has a quirky ladylike style and looks great in contrasting colors, prints and textures. The booties and leather driving gloves add just the right amount of edge to this feminine look. I would add a custom-made headband that would be cool enough even for college.” We can’t wait to see Tory Burch on Gossip Girl tonight! Love her picks for Serena and Blair? Shop them here. Gossip Girl’s resident fashionistas might not have seen eye-to-eye about boys on last night’s episode (ahem, Carter Baizen), but Leighton Meester’s Blair Waldorf and Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen did manage to agree on one thing — color! Leaving Vanessa Abrams’s boho fashion influences in the dust, Blair headed back uptown, happily slipping right back into her signature, sophisticated style with a canary yellow Diane von Furstenberg wrap top and a black-and-white Vince skirt. Even Serena got into the bright mood, mixing sapphire Zara sandals and a turquoise Treesje clutch with a navy Matthew Williamson dress. We love the way Blair and Serena incorporated bursts of color into their ensembles so much that we tracked down their looks for you. Click here to shop their style for less! New York Fashion Week has officially started, and the stars are already out in droves. Last night, Charlize Theron, Blake Lively, Michelle Monaghan, Alexis Bledel and Taraji B. Henson and Vogue editor Anna Wintour herself turned out to help Saks Fifth Avenue unveil its new designer floor. Designers including Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, Vera Wang and Christian Siriano also helped to celebrate the 32 unique cocktail dresses created just for the floor, which were on display. For Charlize, who helped host the event in a floral-print Dior for Saks Fifth Avenue exclusive, feeling at home among the fashion world’s heavy hitters was nothing new. “I started in the fashion industry,” the actress tells PEOPLE. “It’s a harsh business. You have to have a thick skin and be resilient.” Gossip Girl star Lively arrived dressed in a stunning blue sheath from Victoria Beckham’s dress collection, while her costar and off-screen boyfriend Penn Badgley kept it casual in trousers and a button-down, as he joked to PEOPLE, “I always dress down, that’s a secret. Pretty much always and she dresses up all the time.” Getting ready was simple for Bledel, who showed off a gorgeous croc-textured one-shoulder frock by Siriano. “It was pretty quick,” Alexis told PEOPLE of finding deciding on that night’s look. “We found this sculptural, beautifully colored blouse and then the skirt, I just loved the fabric of the skirt.” Follow us at Twitter.com/StyleWatchMag for all the latest Tweets from the Tents!

Blake Lively may have spent most of her day working, but the Gossip Girl star got to celebrate her 22nd birthday in a sexy Kate Moss for Topshop dress, starting with a stop at the Tiffany & Co. and InStyle party honoring Maria Sharapova and Frank Gehry — who collaborated on earrings the tennis star will wear during the US Open. But that was just the beginning. “I have nothing planned. I’m going to a lovely dinner, but it’s a surprise,” Lively told PEOPLE before being presented with a chocolate birthday cake at the party, but one can only assume that she spending the rest of the evening with her beau, Penn Badgley, as she coyly replied to PEOPLE about the most romantic date she’s ever been on, “I don’t know. Ask me tomorrow.” Birthday romance aside, Lively is excited about the upcoming season of Gossip Girl. “We were terrible in high school, so you can only imagine how wild we are in college,” she says. As for the season’s high profile guest appearances, “Hilary Duff is on for a few episodes and Tyra Banks makes an appearance also. I’ve known Tyra since I was a kid, so getting to work alongside her was great. She’s so gracious and kind and Hilary is just a fun, sweet girl. I love getting to know her and having people on that we really enjoy.” So, aside from Ed Westwick’s character, Chuck Bass, smooching another man, what other mass texts will Gossip Girl be sending come fall? “A lot will be happening. Serena is looking for her father, so she’s focusing a lot on that and Chuck and Blair are finally a couple!” Lively reveals. New episodes of Gossip Girl will return to the CW on Sept 14. – Carlos Greer
