Continuing her aesthetic overhaul, Heidi Montag, who famously underwent ten plastic surgery procedures in one day to become what she calls “the new me,” has also tapped into her inner-fashion designer. The reality star packed four dresses of her own creation for her trip to Las Vegas last weekend, where she co-hosted Pure nightclub’s Valentine’s Day bash with husband Spencer Pratt. On the red carpet, the 23 year-old opted for a body-hugging, fuchsia dress. “Pink is a color full of love and it’s so vibrant and beautiful–and it was, of course, very festive,” she tells PEOPLE. “It was exactly what I wanted to wear for my new body. I’ve never felt sexier or more confident in my life. It was revealing but still kept something to the imagination. It hugged all my curves perfectly.” As for where she finds inspiration, Montag says, “Most of my inspiration comes from old movies and I have tons of books on old Hollywood. I just love the magnificence of that time–the sequins, the sexiness. I want to capture the true luster of Hollywood in all my designs.” Montag also professes her admiration for designers like Coco Chanel (“so classic and timeless”) and Dolce & Gabbana (“They have such a sexy shape and have women looking their best in every silhouette,” she says). Expect more Montag-made clothing to surface: “This is just the beginning. I’d really love to eventually wear mostly my only designs. And I really would love to do a low end line [for my] fans and it can be really accessible and then a one of a kind couture line to really showcase my creativity.” But just around the corner? “Look out for my bikini line this summer!” – Jen Garcia

This year’s Olympians in the men’s figure skating division might dazzle audiences with their athleticism, but they don’t impress Victoria Beckham with their fashion choices. The British fashionista, who appeared as a guest host on Wednesday’s The View, said “there’s nothing good” about the tight, sequined, feathered costumes worn by male figure skaters. “I wear the feathers in my relationship,” Beckham said. “If [husband] David came home dressed like that – could you imagine? Terrible.” Beckham also told her View co-hosts that she was thrilled over the “amazing response” to her Fall 2010 collection at New York Fashion Week. And her sartorial sense came into play for another of her guest roles: that of judge on American Idol:“Even if [contestants are] hopeless, they might have a pretty good pair of shoes on.” Beckham also took some good-natured ribbing from co-host Sherri Shepherd about the signature, close-lipped half-smile she’s often photographed with. She retaliated by pointing out that her recent photo shoot with Glamour magazine shows her happily romping around with a puppy—which then prompted her and David to get an English bulldog for their kids. Proving she wasn’t too offended by Shepherd’s jokes, Beckham offered to design an Oscar dress for her.-Blane Bachelor

Much in the way that Mary J. Blige’s R&B tracks have empowered women for years, her new non-profit line of T-shirts emblazoned with hand-written messages like, “I’m Free” and “I’m Power” made with in conjunction with fashion designer pal Catherine Malandrino aspires to do the same. The collection, called FFAWN + Malandrino, will benefit the singer’s charity, Foundation for the Achievement of Women Now, an organization that she launched in 2008 to help underprivileged women. “Catherine has been a dear friend of mine for years and, after she learned about FFAWN and our mission, she offered to create a T-shirt collection that would celebrate being women, being strong and being free,” Blige tells WWD, adding, “Even better, every woman can feel beautiful and comfortable rocking these tees just about anywhere.” For her part, Malandrino, who also recently accepted a position on FFAWN’s board of directors along with the likes of Jay-Z, explains, “These are not your average T-shirts.” The new range of black and white off-the-shoulder tunics will retail starting at $39 and will debut on Feb. 17 at Malandrino boutiques and at Bloomingdale’s stores nationwide. Reinforcing the old adage that two are better than one, Victoria and David Beckham appear on simultaneous his-and-hers covers for edgy British fashion publication 10 Magazine. With her tousled, soft curls and drapey white tee, Victoria’s look is a departure from the sharply tailored outfits and sleek bob we’re used to seeing on her. The 35 year-old mom of three chats with the magazine about her growing fashion brand: “I still plan to be doing this in 10, 15, 20 years time. So it’s got to be done right,” she says, and reveals that she and J. Lo wear the same size clothes. “My dresses are for women of all different shapes and sizes. Actually, the one I tried on yesterday was the one Jennifer wore. And who’d have thought I’d be the same size as Jennifer Lopez!” David also dishes on what it’s like to design clothing, and of his collaboration with Adidas, the soccer stud claims, “Much of what you see in the ObyO range is what I would happily buy myself and wear.” He also reveals what it’s like to see a billboard of himself in his underwear: “I still feel quite shy when I see a poster or campaign like that. It was a daunting experience stripping off in front of a room of people but after a while you get used to it – although my mum still hasn’t,” referring to his sexy campaigns for Emporio Armani Underwear. After signing on as the spokeswoman for donatemydress.org, a charity that aids underprivileged prom-goers, Ashley Greene has now paired up with dosomething.org and retailer Aeropostale on a campaign to donate jeans to homeless youth, both in Haiti and here in U.S. The 22 year-old appears in a video with actor Justin Long to plug the denim drive, whereby people can drop off used jeans at all Aeropostale stores now through February 14, and the retailer will match the first 100,000 pairs of recycled denim with brand-new jeans to deliver to Haiti’s disaster victims. “When I heard the statistics, it was hard to ignore. Teens everywhere want to help with this important issue of youth homelessness and now the earthquake in Haiti,” explains Greene in a release. “I want to do everything I can to help young people take action, and ‘Teens for Jeans’ is a great way for them to get involved.” As added extra incentive, donors will also have the chance to win autographed jeans from Greene’s Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz, plus Kelly Clarkson and the stars of Glee, Gossip Girl, and One Tree Hill. “It’s easy to change a life,” Greene says. “Go out and donate a pair of your jeans to an Aeropostale store to support Aero and DoSomething.org’s ‘Teens for Jeans’ campaign.” -Emily Hsieh

It’s been an eventful few weeks for British-born TV personality Alexa Chung: first, her MTV show It’s On With Alexa Chung was canceled, and now, the 26 year-old former model is rebounding as a fashion designer, with a just-announced partnership with clothing chain Madewell. The trendsetting star, known for her rock-inspired, chicly tossed-together aesthetic, tells WWD the collection will consist of “things you wouldn’t mind getting dirty in and things that I actually wear.” Chung explains, “I was being offered so many collaborations for a long time, but I held off. I thought it would be quite a ‘sellout’ thing to do. But Madewell had a more organic approach. They seemed really interested in my ideas and it’s a brand that I really admire. Hopefully, the authenticity of this collaboration will be obvious.” The range, hitting stores and madewell1937.com in August, consists of roughly 20 pieces, including high-waisted skinny jeans, lace-trimmed wool jackets, polka dot tea dresses, and tees adorned with Chung’s own photographs and illustrations. Exact prices for the Alexa Chung for Madewell collection have yet to be announced, though they will be in sync with the label’s current lineup, with jeans going for under $100 and t-shirts starting at $14. If you’ve ever wondered what being a Hollywood actress really feels like, talk to Hilary Duff, who tells Nylon, “I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time.” Things got even more surreal when she signed on to play a starlet this season on Gossip Girl: “I was a little hesitant. It was kind of close to home… then I realized, I would never say something [that Olivia says] like, ‘Oh, this is just for the cameras.’” Her close relationship with her mother helps keep her grounded. “My mom is rad. I feel I’m so much like her.” The newly minted fashion designer—her label, Femme for DKNY Jeans, debuted in stores this fall—also gives readers a glimpse into the thought process behind developing her own line. “I designed clothing that I feel are staples for my closet. Every girl needs a great leather jacket, and every girl needs a skinny pair of black jeans.” Hear more from Duff in the January issue of Nylon, or at nylonmag.com.

Heidi Klum’s latest role? Voicing “Heidi Barbie,” the 11.5-inch mini-me version of the supermodel and “Project Runway” host, who attended New York Fashion Week in place of Klum, who was back in L.A. with husband Seal awaiting the birth of her fourth child. The doll, whose voice sounds like a fast-talking version of Klum on helium, interviewed such style luminaries as Michael Kors, Rachel Zoe and Mario Testino backstage at the fashion shows. “The ‘Heidi Barbie’ voice makes Seal crazy,” says Klum, who “was just riffing” when voicing the doll’s interviews and observations (sample line: “This is my first time hailing a caaaab in New York City!”), according to her rep. Of course, Heidi Barbie was appropriately attired in a sequined minidress, Victoria’s Secret undies and a ring by jeweler-to-the-stars Lorraine Schwartz.
